NPOV?[edit]

This article reads like a glorification of a caste and an attack on the Tamil Nadu government. Should be rewritten to WP:NPOV, and sources should be given. --Alvestrand 11:03, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The DMK government IS atheist, secondly their core platform IS Brahmin bashing..whats hard to understand? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.214.6.218 (talkcontribs) .

There are exactly two words in this article that are not POV: "mostly vegetarians". I suggest deletion. Arvindn 03:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Factual Errors[edit]

"In a state ruled by atheists, Tamil Brahmins have been facing an uphill task of retaining their traditional values."

Tamil Nadu is ruled by democratically elected peoples representatives. Few of the elected may be atheists; however, majority are not. --Natkeeran 23:04, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

tamil brahmins include both iyers and iyengars. So this article cannot be merged with'Iyers' as suggested.

A redirect only means that information about one term is summarized in the other. It doesn't mean the two are the same. I'm going ahead with the merge. Arvindn 10:40, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
