New Name[edit]

As of August 2006, CHAT has formally changed its name to TanenbaumCHAT. (More information on www.chat-edu.ca). This should probably become the official title of the page, or at least make a redirect page at "TanenbaumCHAT" to "Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto" for now.70.48.248.154 22:39, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dunno, we didn't call this page "CHAT" to start with, so I don't think that "TanenbaumCHAT" is a good name either. If anything, it would be expanded to "The Anne and Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto", but I think that's too long ... and anyways, anybody who is looking up about this school is not exactly going to be confused by the exclusion of the donor name. I find it highly unlikely that people are going to actually start using the phrase "TanenbaumCHAT" outside of official documents! ;-) Chartreuse green 02:20, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changing it to 'Tanenbaum CHAT' might make it easier to acsess and it is the offical name. --65.93.206.40 01:06, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how it would make it "easier" to access. I don't care particularly one way or the other, so I'm not going to change it myself. Chartreuse green 02:10, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A redirect from "TanenbaumCHAT" to "Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto" seems to be the best idea as far as I'm concerned. --IceCube 19:15, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revamp[edit]

I just revamped the article a little bit. If you have any concerns regarding what I changed, please leave a message on my talk page. --IceCube 20:17, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I accidentaly omitted "Pluralistic" from the religious affiliation in the infobox. Is it really needed though? I think that CHAT's religious affiliation is simply Jewish, nothing more specific than that needs to be relayed through the infobox. --IceCube 04:48, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The infobox looks bizarrely and inappropriately huge on my screen at 300px. Chartreuse green 17:16, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm... Are you using anything less than 1280 by 1024 for your screen resolution? Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Would like to know if this is isolated or not. --IceCube 16:32, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The old infobox mentioned the school being founded in 1960. I didn't verify that fact, just copied it over to the new infobox. Does anyone know if this is true? Couldn't find anything on CHAT's website.

Tagged[edit]

There is no references whatsoever in this article, especially for claim of "mostly Ashkenazi" and the U of T stats. 207.245.44.227 16:53, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just removed the whole thing about producing disproportionate doctors and lawyers etc. It didn't seem to me that it had any basis in actual fact. There's no way that CHAT grads comprise 5% of the various law and medical school classes... Chartreuse green 19:16, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
