TagsteTangtse – Tangtse is the standard name of the village in English language sources, starting from Alexander Cunningham in 1854 to modern times. Tangtse is also part of an important scientific phenomenon, because a strand of the Karakoram fault system lies here and is called the Tangtse fault. The present page title seems to be based on the census records, which is a bad misspelling (omitted "n" and flipped "s" and "t"). The Leh district records (citation 1) spell it as "Tangtsi", which is probably a phonetic variation of "Tangtse". Kautilya3 (talk) 00:13, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Additional note: Tangtse is at present a redirect to Taktsé, a disambiguation page. But none of its pages even mention the spelling "Tangtse". So it is not clear how relevent this spelling to them. If that redirect is essential, this page can be moved to Tangtse, Ladakh instead. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 00:31, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Climate[edit]

Kautilya3, one aspect of Tangtse that can be included is the climate of the area. Even though it is easy to find information about the weather here, I am not sure which reference would be best for inclusion... DTM (talk) 06:23, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
