I found the TaquanAirLogo.jpg logo on ru.wikipedia.org, but can't get the image to work here.  I've found a page with a Russian to English translation [here] that seems to say that someone has to approve using the logo for the en web page as has already been done for the ru web page.  I don't know how to do that.  Unscintillating (talk) 03:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Separate sections for awards[edit]

I realize you are trying to "save" this article, but putting each individual achievement or recognition on its own section is over the top. I see you reverted my change so I suppose we should discuss this and not edit war. Although I'm sure this was not your intention it makes the article look like it has been spammed so as to reflect more positively on the company. I suggest this material be integrated into the "history" section, which can be easily done. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:26, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The revert was needed, material had been dropped into the history section such that 1990 material and the Medallion awards material appeared in one large paragraph after the creation of Venture Travel LLC.
It is easy for the history section to get long-winded, i.e., WP:TLDNR.  Personally, and I accept that opinions differ, I think that it is good to find material that can be moved out of the history section into other sections.  This now is the relief from a long history section to which you are objecting.  Also, the material about Sen Stevens is not actually a part of Taquan history.
One of the reasons that I didn't add the book reference that whpq found about the SBA award at the start of the AfD was because of the emphasis on the owner there and not the company.  The latest reference shows that it was the company that attracted the attention of the US Government agency.  Unscintillating (talk) 20:57, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

material removed without edit comments[edit]

No reason was given in the edit comments for stripping every mention of air accidents from this article.  The only reason for removing properly sourced material from Wikipedia is because due weight of the material under our WP:NPOV policy is insignificant.  What we have now is an imbalanced article.  Unscintillating (talk) 01:19, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
