Article title[edit]

Is (Sleepy Hollow) needed in the article title? Tarrytown Light or Tarrytown Lighthouse would seem simpler and more in conformance with WP:Article titles. --Paul_012 (talk) 16:41, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't pick the title, and the user who did seems to have left the project. I agree that there's no good reason here for an interspersed parenthetical, especially since the alternate names are handled well enough in the lede, and we could simply create redirects for anyone using them per WP:ASTONISH. This is exactly what I suggested when you asked for feedback several days ago. I'm going to move it. --Muhandes (talk) 19:39, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hours?[edit]

Could someone please add information about dates/hours when the lighthouse is open for tours? 174.24.0.143 (talk) 01:46, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First, since Wikipedia is not a travel guide, we don't put that information in aricles. Second, as that page suggests, Wikivoyage would be a better place for it anyway. Daniel Case (talk) 06:31, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
