Country Code: +599 or +5999?

[edit]

Sources seem to contradict each other on the country code, some saying +599 and others saying +5999. I found a source confirming Wiki gyall (talk · contribs) claim, but that seems to only be the country code of Curaçao and not the rest of the Caribbean Netherlands. Yes the code +5999 is only for CURAÇAO.💪 Wiki gyall (talk) 17:36, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Tijmen Wil: The area code has been retained, but I can't find a good source either. It is 599 (country) 9 (area) XXX-XXXX. I assume it is related to the other islands receiving their own code, and there are numbers starting with 9 which prevent a removal of the area code (it is not clear whether people misdialed).
