There is no history of the privatization or the criticism of the monopoly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ericg33 (talkcontribs) 10:12, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree. This article reads like a corporate page, charged with dubious statements, lack of criticism and sources. It is extremely important to keep corporate intervention out of pages like this.

I wrote an essay about the World Bank and the privatization of TeleMex once. It's an interesting topic but there were many negative consequences as a result of the privatization. These have NOT been addressed in this article which reads like a corporate advertisement written by billionaire Carlos Slim.TurtleMelody (talk) 06:49, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning

[edit]

I've cleaned this up quite a bit. I would appreciate it if someone could check the facts, though; I didn't change much in terms of the facts presented. --Maw 22:57, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't telcel be listed too as a cellular provider in mexico?

TelMex shouldn't be listed as a mobile provider because it isn't. TelCel is a subsidiary of Grupo Carso which provides mobile telephony in México. América Móvil is another subsidiary of Grupo Carso, which operates in several central american and south american countries.

On a side note, TelMex is not authorized and does not offer IPTV in Mexico, and certainly won't in the near future because of anti-trust issues. Jorgeblasio (talk) 06:22, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please lock this article for a while. People are inserting drug war information in here. Please lock it and stop all this nonsense for awhile. 174.16.189.135 (talk) 05:48, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is the picture of the pay phone displayed in the cellphone section? 71.166.169.68 (talk) 22:15, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
