Type species citation[edit]

I have no wish to start an edit war, so I will just categorically state here that the type species of a genus is NOT always given in the form it's "original form"! A type species is a nominal species, which means it may differ from the currently accepted valid name for the species, and should be cited as the original NOMINAL SPECIES. That much is true. Beyond that, there is nothing! Carcinologist2 (talk) 06:48, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
