Accents and capitalization

[edit]

Although it is a common mistake to capitalize most words in a Spanish title (following the English rule), titles in Spanish only capitalize the first letter of the title, place names, given names and the abbreviations of some introductory titles (Sr., Sra., Dr., etc.). Therefore it is preferable, if not obligatory, to write the title as Tengo todo excepto a ti. Moreover, "ti" should not be accentuated. Placing an accent on ti is a common mistake brought on by the thought that it should have an accent like "tú (you)" as opposed to "tu (yours)" and "mí (me)" as opposed to "mi (mine)". The fact is that there is no other "ti" in Spanish, and therefore an accent is not necessary. Koszmonaut (talk) 18:16, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't however, know if titles are capitalized as if they were written in English when they are being used in an English context, regardless of the rules of the language in which the title is actually written. If this is the case, then the only mistake would be the placing of the acute accent on "ti". Koszmonaut (talk) 18:20, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
