History of Riots[edit]

The article states that in 1902, 17 prisoners "blew out the end of one wing" and killed 1 inmate and 2 others escaped and were never captured. The next sentence reads, "Later, a group of inmates seized control of the segregated white wing and held it for eighteen hours before surrendering."
