I created some content for this empty page. It is a stub and needs a lot of work. I will continue working on it, but please add content and references, and otherwise make it better. Jmkinder1 (talk) 00:04, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ian (Wiki Ed): Can you review this page and critique it as a lead? Jmkinder1 (talk) 00:11, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Discospinster: Thanks for insisting on sources and citations. I have added a pedagogical introduction to tensor networks, a book on the subject, and a peer-reviewed journal article. Jmkinder1 (talk) 02:23, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Connection to AI[edit]

The recent adaptation of tensor networks for machine learning is really interesting! However, the majority of the literature on tensor networks is (currently) in physics and chemistry (quantum information, quantum chemistry, strongly correlated systems, etc.). I suggest keeping the focus of this article on the use of tensor networks in these fields, with a short discussion of applications to AI. If the latter continues to grow, a separate page dedicated to the use of tensor networks in AI seems preferable to a single article that attempts to cover too much material. The article is currently flagged for attention by an expert in artificial intelligence. However, the reason for an expert opinion is not stated, and the project referenced (WikiProject: Artificial Intelligence) does not exist and has been absorbed in to the broader Computer Science project. I suggest removing this flag. Jmkinder1 (talk) 17:52, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
