Article seems to be a product of the subject's campaign

This article was obviously written by a campaign staffer or supporter who is very close to the subject. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with a close supporter writing an article, but Wikipedia calls for an encyclopedic tone, as well as content. Much of the language in this article reads like a campaign brochure - "Her parents always told her that it was not enough for an individual to succeed: she must give back to her community as well." - "Occupation ... Community Visionary." Besides being unsourced, see WP:CITE, these statements have the wrong tone.

I would much prefer that the author(s) of this article bring it more in line with Wikipedia standards. I would suggest that he/she/they take five minutes to review the introductory guidelines here before doing this. Particular attention should be paid to WP:NPOV, as well as to WP:COI. If Ms. Sewell has been criticized or attacked, that should be included in the article, along with her position or response relative to the issue.

It would be acceptable - indeed, good for the article - if whoever put it together included a photo of Ms. Sewell. See the mechanics (including copyright guidelines) here: WP:PIC.Audemus Defendere (talk) 06:01, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Updated Congressional Campaign info

Terri Sewell won the Dem nomination for Congress. Also, changed that she will not be the first woman elected to congress from Alabama but she would be the first African American woman. (Tfelts) 04:16, 14 July 2010 UTC —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tfelts (talkcontribs)

The article states DOB as 1.1.65 and that she began work with a law firm in 1974.

I believe this to be incorrect as federal child labour laws prohibit children under 14 from working. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.99.6.217 (talk) 21:14, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Subject sits on the House Intel committee.

Another problem is that the portrait pic is extremely unflattering. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aoeuus (talkcontribs) 19:21, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
