Rewrite of Biography section

[edit]

The problem with this rewrite [1] is that it doesn't really "rewrite" anything, it just uses words that mean the exact same thing and more importantly, it uses the structure of presentation of the ideas in the original version. Instead, discuss in your own words why Garland was (or was not) "one of the more individual interpreters" and how he incorporated and extended the music of others. Of course, there's only so many ways to say basic facts... MRG is an expert on this, I'm a minnow in comparison, I don't know if she'd agree with my advice or not. Yes, this is a problem. I have verified copying from the source through Google books ([2], [3]). Since we know the original was too close, the rewrite - with its similar structure and minimal vocabulary changes - is also not usable. Removing it for reworking. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:34, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Note: other content from that source seems to be sufficiently rewritten, given minimal creativity of what remains ([4]). --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:36, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
