Why is this notable?

I do not understand why this factory is notable. I think this content should be rolled back into the NUMMI factory page or the Tesla S page as relevant, and then deleted. All these little articles on tesla related stuff seem like Astroturfing to me. Greglocock (talk) 04:03, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Assembly process description

I do not see how bolting the wheels on and other such inevitable activities is notable. If there are processes specific to the Tesla S assembly then they should remain the rest should be deleted. Greglocock (talk) 01:10, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

That was part of the AfD discussion. Section was copied from the merged article and needs to be condensed. Be bold. Nyth63 10:52, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Date formats

Are really going to have another edit war over date formats? This issue I object to is editors who change the default access date format automatically insereted in to reference templates from dd-MMM-yyyy to yyyy-mm-dd, even for consistency. That is a losing battle because that is default format used for everything underlying dates in Wikipedia. I personally dislike an all-numerical format like 2015-08-12 because of the ambiguity with the dates and months in cases where the date is 12 or less. Nyth63 11:26, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

The date format can be changed but only if it is agreed upon on the talk page. Not by a single editor. WP:I just don't like it is not a reason. Like it or not, yyyy-mm-dd is the current format and new references should continue to use that format until there is an agreement to use a different format. Converse to your comment. Rigorously enforcing the current style avoids edit wars. Let's say that you hate yyyy-mm-dd so much that you change it to mmm dd, yyyy (like the anon IP did). The next day a Brit sees that, says to himself "That sucks" and changes it to dd mmm yyyy. The day after a Yank says "#### that!" and changes it to mmm dd, yyyy again. Rinse and repeat. By obeying WP:RETAIN and WP:ENGVAR we get minor skirmishes while we teach the rules to a newcomer but we don't get prolonged edit wars. Of course, these policies allow for a discussion on the talk page and if we get consensus to change to a new format then we (including me) will rigorously enforce that format.  Stepho  talk  00:45, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
