Veliminedu is a village of around 10,000 population in Chityal (Nalgonda) mandal within Nalgonda district. This village is not to be confused with another village by the same name Veliminedu near Ibrahim Patnam in Ranga Reddy district. The Chityal also is not to be confused with another mandal Chityal (Warangal) by the same name in Warangal district.There is a famous "Hanuman Temple"near to NH-9. Industrailly,1 nos chemical factory,1 nos stone polishing factory,1 nos steel factory located near to this village.

It has two government schools: 1) ZPP High School with a primary school within its premises 2) MPP Primary School in BC Colony. There are two private schools in the village competing with government schools.one Govt Public Health Centre.
