The result of the proposal was Moved. I'll leave it to others to clean up the hatnotes/disambig links among the similarly-named pages. DMacks (talk) 02:52, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Move

[edit]

I'm not sure if anyone is watchlisting this article, but I thought I would pose a question here. I've been creating articles for missing television series and was about to create one for "The Adventures of Champion" when I found this article. Every source that I've been able to locate (including a clip from the actual show on www.brokenwheelranch.com) indicates that "The Adventures of Champion" is the name of the series. "Champion the Wonder Horse" seems to have been the (re)title of the series in the UK. But the series was filmed and, I believe, originally broadcast in the United States. As an American show, it seems the page should use the American title. I really don't have a big investment in this, but wanted to state that I'll request moving the page if there is no disagreement. Thanks. JimVC3 (talk) 01:09, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I should also note that the page "The Adventures of Champion" is already taken by the radio show of that name. My proposal would add "(TV series)" to clarify the difference. JimVC3 (talk) 20:36, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Support, it seems to be a US based show. That means it should use the US name of the show. TJ Spyke 15:57, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move Follow-Up

[edit]

I'll undertake the clean-up over the next 48 hours. JimVC3 (talk) 05:35, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I've fixed text and links on about 12 pages (including list pages). The article itself needs some editing which I may try to do over the next week or so. The Categories don't seem to be responding, so I'll re-check those in a day or so. JimVC3 (talk) 19:53, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-Up

[edit]

In the past three years, a lot of material has been added to this article, the article on the radio show of the same name, and the various articles on Gene Autry and his television and radio appearances. I'm going to do a little clean-up to reduce the redundancy and increase the consistency in the articles. JimVC3 (talk) 03:16, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"With a Cast of Thousands..."

[edit]

I looked at the cast listing for this show over at IMDB and discovered that something like 100 actors are listed there, which seemed like quite a crowd for 26 episodes. It occurred to me that Gene Autry might have given a part on his show to any out-of-work actor who needed a job. Either that, or TV adventure series require quite an army of actors. If anyone knows anything about this, it might be worth investigating. Kinsler33 (talk) 22:45, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
