Taking Cassandra to the End of the World Party

[edit]

Just a question...are the band fans of Doctor Who? This episode might explain this song title. Jubella 11:22, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice find. The band has a big habit of doing this.

I don't know, that episode doesn't seem to have much in common with the song besides the mention of the End of the World and the name Cassandra. The term Cassandra Syndrome is used to describe the phenomenon where someone predicts bad news that turns out to be true but people are skeptical anyway. In Greek Mythology Cassandra predicts the destruction of Troy but no one believes her; the theme of the song and the story of the music video are very similar to this. It's probably more likely that both FBTMOF and Doctor Who were drawing from the same place.

I always thought the song title had to deal with The Rules of Attraction. Jordan Cable 23:21, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Public Domain vs. Public

[edit]

Three songs from the album have already entered the public domain

Doesn't rather mean Three songs from the album have already entered the public? Because the Public Domain would mean that anyone is free to copy, resell, remix, remix and resell and do whatever he wants with those three songs.

Tourette's Guy

[edit]

I find it funny that Tourette's Guy is mentioned in the article as being "infamous," yet the Wikipedia administrators feel that the website isn't important enough to get its own article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kerryking113 (talkcontribs) 03:12, 7 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

I don't understand why he's mentioned here. I'm tempted to remove it, but I don't really know anything about this band/album. Would someone explain this? --30daysinAKK (talk) 19:59, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
