Untitled[edit]

I wonder ... did the director "want to make it pretentious ..."? Perhaps he did.

Do we really need that ugly link telling us when The Band Wagon was released? I'm pretty sure that the accurate date for this film as well as MGM making it can be found in several resources on and off the web. THE evil fluffyface 16:58, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The Band Wagon.JPG[edit]

Image:The Band Wagon.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Minor Update[edit]

In his song "Dangerous," Michael Jackson uses the line "she came at me in sections" from the "Girl Hunt Ballet." Any lyric website, if not the actual album jacket itself can be used for citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.236.76.219 (talk) 19:21, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Impact: You Rock My World[edit]

The references to "You Rock My World" in the "Impact" section should probably be separated from info regarding "Smooth Criminal" (a clear homage) and pared down to just the line about choreography. It's accurate that Jackson revives some of the choreography from The Band Wagon; but, the video more explicitly references On the Waterfront, and the fashion is more 1950s Cuban.
