Flip it Forward: HGTV

[edit]

The section on their involvement with HGTV is unbalanced and poorly sourced. It also does not present an accurate timeline of the events and some of the statements cannot be substantiated using the sources provided. The section should be re-written as a whole. Poorly written article.

[edit]

This article reads like it was written in self-congratulatory form by one of the Benham brothers.Kdb1965 (talk) 04:14, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is true, perhaps you would like to fix it. JesseRafe (talk) 05:10, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Kdb1965 I think it's narratively better that way Cthuluwu (talk) 05:09, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't know enough about them, other than they are bigots, so I wouldn't be the best one to rewrite the article.Kdb1965 (talk) 04:11, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I rewrote some of the artice—taking out some of the most clearly biased language, added an NPOV tag and inline tags. If anyone knows of any good, less-biased sources that talk about them, please let me know. Jamutaq (talk) 04:54, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Married with 9 children

[edit]

"The brothers are married with 9 children and live in Charlotte, NC."

It took me a few reads to understand this because it sounds like they have 9 kids together, as in, they're married to each other. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.243.108.141 (talk) 03:24, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This confused me also, so I rephrased it with more information from the source material. I hope this makes it more clear.Jedimmel (talk) 14:43, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lacking in objectivity

[edit]

This entry is a self-promoting puff piece. It fails to mention the many anti-LGBT activities that the pair have been involved in which include their advocacy for North Carolina's HB2. I, quite frankly, lack the objectivity to make it less promoting and more current. Perhaps someone will read this comment and edit accordingly. David Cary Hart (talk) 16:58, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You're objectively wrong, there's a whole section about how their show was canceled for their anti-LGBT and anti-abortion comments, perhaps you should have read the article. JesseRafe (talk) 17:06, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have rewritten several sections to bring more objectivity and balance to the section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimothyquick (talkcontribs) 15:27, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
