Reviewed the race before this and one after it, might as well do the one in the middle.

  • Ref 6 date?
  • Ref 10 should be The Daily Telegraph
  • "Taking a slight lead round the Surrey bend, Cambridge's number four, Mayer 'die[d]'," not exactly comfortable with this in the report, even if it's a direct quote. How about faded, or a word similar to that effect.
    • Found a completely different source. I wasn't too happy with it either. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:18, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "At the finish, following tradition, the Oxford crew threw their cox, Hackworth, into the water in celebration", source doesn't confirm that it's a tradition, just Hackworth was thrown into water.
  • Under reaction, 'Oxford cox Pete Hackworth', as his name and occupation was previously mentioned.
  • Sean Bowden's (Oxford coach) quotes are here to beef up the reaction section. Interesting opinion piece by Simon Barnes in The Times on 1 April 2002, p. S16 that you could also incorporate → here.
    • Incorporated Bowden's quote. Added some of the sexy writing from Barnes, do you have the publication date of that edition of The Times'? The Rambling Man (talk) 19:18, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • 1 April 2002, have added now.

Nice work. No dab or dead links, nor could I find any issues with the image license, reliability of refs. Will pass once comments have been addressed. Lemonade51 (talk) 18:36, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again for a useful and informed review, much appreciated. Hopefully I've addressed your major concerns without undue delay, cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:18, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sweet, shall pass. Lemonade51 (talk) 20:02, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
My thankiest thanks. More to come if you're mad for it... Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:10, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
