More references needed / Refimprove[edit]

Currently, only three sources are refrenced:

  1. "The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz.com". Santacruz.com. Retrieved 2018-04-03.
  2. "The Catalyst - Santa Cruz's Most Iconic Music Venue". Santacruzlife.com. 9 May 2013. Retrieved 2018-04-01.
  3. "The Catalyst, Santa Cruz, CA, USA Concert Setlists". setlist.fm. Retrieved 2018-04-01.

Source 1 appears to be a place/business listing with links to articles that mention The Catalyst Club in passing, and 3 is a listing of concerts at the venue from a user-editable site. Neither of these strongly supports notability.

From a quick search of the usual resources, I have identified some additional sources that could be considered to improve the article:

  1. "The Catalyst Film: A Historical Documentary Showcasing 40 Years Of Music". A film about the Catalyst Club, unclear if it was released or what feedback / reviews / commentary of it exists.
  2. "Lost Restaurants of Santa Cruz County". This book on former businesses in the Santa Cruz area mentions the Catalyst at pages 59-60, but it could be considered incidental or limited coverage, with only a few hundred words specifically discussing the Catalyst.
  3. "The Sidewalk Companion to Santa Cruz Architecture". A review of notable architectural features in the town of Santa Cruz mentions the Catalyst, with a description of its architecture starting on page 151.
  4. "The iconic Catalyst Club". Lookout Santa Cruz. As a promoted content article, this is probably not suitable as a source, but possibly searching for references / information on the persons and businesses mentioned in the article would lead to interesting sources?

There are also plenty of news articles on concerts, and artists' biographies that mention the Catalyst, but generally only as the setting for an event or concert, or as a minor note / passing mention which I do not feel strongly supports notability nor serves as a good source. One example:

  1. "Crosby, Stills & Nash stage benefit". The Daily News, Middlesboro, Kentucky. 11 November 1989. An article mentioning a charity concert held at the Catalyst by Crosby, Stills & Nash following the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake
