Label[edit]

According to Template:Infobox Only the record label that the album was originally released on should be specified, and Republic Records is nowhere mentioned neither physical nor digital. They are merely a distributor in the US for TXT's music. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rupturestriker (talkcontribs)

@Rupturestriker: I don't own any TXT albums so I searched online to find good unboxings that clearly showed the back of the album up close, and you are right. It does in fact only say Big Hit Music, and then distributed by Hybe and YG Plus. I double checked on AM as well and it only says BHM there also. I removed it from the infobox and edited the lead accordingly. Worth mentioning rock/alt rock in the infobox?[edit]

After listening to a few of the songs from this a while back, I was kind of surprised that a few of them were based in rock, so I just searched Google and it seems a few reviews or general pieces on the album mention this too. The South China Morning Post here talks about the album leading "K-pop's rock revival", the fact that the songs "explore a variety of genres but mainly lean into rock" and the album overall "breathes life into alt rock music".

The reason I'm proposing this here instead of making the edit is because SCMP makes light of the fact that in many ways, K-pop is inherently a hybrid genre that carries elements of all manner of genres, and SCMP also notes that K-pop is essentially having an alt rock moment this year. So is it worth adding this to the infobox, or do we think it's sufficiently covered by K-pop as the umbrella term that it is? Ss112 13:52, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: I would say we could argue for "rock" at the very least, rather than a specific subset of the genre, but at the same time I wonder if WP:EXPLICITGENRE would say no? -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:02, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
