The Climate Corporation does not offer insurance products. The products offered are the "Climate FieldView Platform" helping farmers to increase productivity through an integrated digital platform. The products offered include Climate FieldView Pro, Climate FieldView Plus and Climate FieldView Prime.Csoko (talk) 15:45, 6 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Removing sources related to a company that does not exist anymore or in a business that it does not serve anymore. Adding in new sources to better reflect the software services now offered by the company based on what their website shows. Radley800 (talk) 18:42, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Industry: Changing to Agriculture due to The Climate Corporation no longer offering financial services
  • Leadership: Changed due to being out of date
  • Investors and underwriters: Removed due to the fact this is no longer listed as a company offering financial services
  • Products: updated due to the fact that the company sells software and not financial services
  • Removal of http://www.geekwire.com/2012/climate-corp-picks-seattle-office-citing-proximity-amazon-web-services/ as it does not relate to the insurance service the company offers currently

Edit request: Article title[edit]

Please change article title "The Climate Corporation" to "Climate LLC (formerly The Climate Corporation)"

Rational: The Climate Corporation no longer exists as a standalone company or subsidiary. Climate LLC is the digital farming arm of Bayer's Crop Science division.

Request edit to final paragraph in the "History" section[edit]

Please change "In June 20218, Bayer acquired Monsanto and Precision Planting with it." to "In July 2017, the company signed a definitive agreement with Agco to acquire the Precision Planting LLC equipment business. In June 2018, Bayer acquired Monsanto and The Climate Corporation with it."

(Rationale: Previous paragraph incorrectly noted that Bayer also acquired Precision Planting LLC when Monsanto had already been sold to AGCO, prior to Bayer acquiring Monsanto)

Regarding the sale of Precision Planting LLC to AGCO, please add this new source: AGCO. (2017-07-26). "Precision Planting sold to Agco." FarmProgress.com. Retrieved 2024-07-08. https://www.farmprogress.com/business/precision-planting-sold-to-agco

Edit request to 2nd paragraph in "Products" section[edit]

Please change "Field Health Advisor provides farmers satellite images of their fields depicting crop health and vegetation maps. Script Creator allows farmers to create variable-rate prescriptions before planting." to "FieldView provides satellite imagery that can help identify potential issues such as crop disease. Generated from vegetation images, scouting images are displayed on a five-color scale, identifying areas with the most and least biomass. FieldView also enables farmers to generate field zones and corresponding crop input prescriptions - seed prescriptions, for example - from satellite images of their fields. After creating field zones, a farmer or their agronomic advisor can assign product rates to individual zones and export them to their precision farm equipment as prescriptions. To execute a prescription, FieldView can connect to other cloud platforms farmers use, such as John Deere Operations Center and Precision Planting's Panorama system, as well as allow farmers to establish cloud-to-cloud connections with Claas equipment (CLAAS TELEMATICS) and Ag Leader's AgFiniti + SMS Connect platform, and other digital tools and platforms."

(Rationale: Updating FieldView platform details with current feature names and information, recently published by an external source.)

Edit request to final paragraph of "Products" section[edit]

Please change "It allows farmers to see a weather forecast up to three hours in advance, and provides the ability to scout potential issues in the field. Farmers can drop a pin on that location on the map to scout the precise location throughout the season." to "It allows farmers to see a radar weather forecast up to six hours in advance and radar over the previous 24 hours, providing the ability to scout potential issues in the field. Farmers can drop a pin on that location on the map to scout the precise location throughout the season. FieldView can also display historical rainfall and precipitation totals by field over specific date ranges."

(Rationale: Corrections made to include current weather feature capabilities)
