The film has a disclaimer stating that the persons and events are fictional. Yet the trailer refers to the FBI Operation Varsity Blues and guilty pleas obtained. The reference of this article names two high-profile convicts. See 2019_college_admissions_bribery_scandal for the news story that undermined faith in fair college admissions.
