[edit]

No pages exist for the other two books in this trilogy. Perhaps it would be better to make this page about the trilogy itself and have the three separate books under sub-sections? It doesn't seem worth it to have a page for each book and another page for the trilogy. --Drekadair (talk) 19:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are currently 4 books in the series with a 5th book to be released and I have made stub pages for the current 4 books in the series. However, I need help with expanding the List of Characters of the Faerie Wars series. Should there be a separate terminology page? Extremepro (talk) 07:27, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think a terminology page would not survive long. I'd suggest a page for the series which explains the setting and the background, including terminology and a list of the most important characters, and of course links to the book and character pages. There should also be some assertion of notability. Or you could make this that page and create a new "Faerie Wars (novel)" page. Robina Fox (talk) 10:38, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How about making something along the lines of Faerie Wars Series for the whole series? Extremepro (talk) 11:16, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have heard the series called The Faerie Wars Chronicles - sounds like a good title. The question then would be where Faerie Wars should take you. Robina Fox (talk) 18:42, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The Faerie War Chronicles is a good title . The Faerie Wars page should lead to the 1st novel in the series. Extremepro (talk) 21:22, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The series official name is The Faerie Wars Chronicles, however notability has yet to be established for a single book within the series, so I'm urging you to stop making stubs for them all. Move this page to The Faerie Wars Chronicles and make a single article covering the entire series. And take some time to learn about Wikipedia policies and guidelines, such as notability, verifiability, and how to write about fiction, and actually go look at the book MoS to learn what the appropriate sections are for articles. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 23:42, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Moved page to The Faerie Wars Chronicles as per AnmaFinotera's request Extremepro (talk) 00:55, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Faerie Wars Chronicles

[edit]

Need help to make this article from a novel to a series. I can't seem to find infoboxs for a series of books. Is using the infobox from Harry Potter a good idea? Extremepro (talk) 00:56, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here ya go: Template:Infobox Novel series. For some ideas on series articles without every book having a separate article, see The Clique series (which uses Template:Book list for that table) and Private (novel series) (a somewhat more developed article). Note that for this series, I'd merge back in the character list as all the articles are far too spartan to have splits right now, and merge in the other novel articles which are up for deletion. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:51, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Extremepro (talk) 02:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Merged character list back to the Faerie War Chronicles. Extremepro (talk) 02:17, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Book Releases

[edit]

Can someone please help me summarize the contents of the 4 books in the series and put them into the book list? Thanks. Extremepro (talk) 03:00, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Book 4 done from its old article. The other three had no summaries so can't help there. :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 11:54, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on the article...

[edit]

Hi there,

I see you have done some great work on the article. I was wondering if I could help in anyway, and also if File:Faerie_Wars.JPG, the front cover of the first book is still needed (I uploaded it and got a message from a bot that it is now orphaned). If it is not needed, I would be happy to delete it, otherwise you can add it back in the article! :)

I've added it to the infobox. In the absence of a group image, the first cover of the first book is the best one to use here :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 11:52, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks great on the article. Thanks Thehelpfulone Extremepro (talk) 12:03, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minor Characters

[edit]

Should minor characters, such as Aisling and Henry's parents be listed in the character list? Extremepro (talk) 03:39, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, only the major characters of the overall series should be listed in the character section. Minor characters, where relevant, should be noted in the plot summaries for each book. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:45, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay Extremepro (talk) 04:14, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Terminology section needed?

[edit]

Do we need a terminology section to explain words like "Analog world", "The Purple Emperor" and so forth? Extremepro (talk) 04:23, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Terms specific to the series should be briefly explained on their first usage, if necessary, though something like "The Purple Emperor" shouldn't really need explaining as its just a title (right?). For the most part, the terms should be explained in context with their summaries in the plot, rather than needing some sort of in-article glossary. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Faerie Wars Game

[edit]

Should that be described in this article or is it not important enough?Faerie Wars Cobblestone Minefield Extremepro (talk) 22:07, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't appear to be an official game, so unnotable and nothing to mention. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
