Lack of sources

[edit]

The "Controversy" section of this article contains weasel words such as "the rumor was" and "Another theory is". Avoid weasel terms. It serves the readers ill to not know who circulated the rumour and whose theory it was. With cited sources, readers can gauge the relative credibilities of the hypotheses. Cite your sources. As well as the stuff about the option on the film, I read somewhere that another reason it's so bad is that Corman took it on purely as a contractual obligation project, and the production quality is as you'd expect from one. Of course, it might be apocryphal, since I've lost the source.—This unsigned comment was added by 62.252.32.13 (talkcontribs) .

Vandalism Removed

[edit]

I noticed some vandalism as best I could, although I'm not sure how to report the perpetrator. I also cited one or the paragraphs that apparently needed a source. --71.109.37.168 23:08, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Never intended for release

[edit]

Corman confirmed that the film was made solely to secure the copyright and it was not intended for release. The confirmation is cited in the "Controversy" section - please do not remove this sentence again without a source conflicting Corman's statement. --Chancemichaels 19:04, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Chancemichaels[reply]

Comment: I believe the year is mistaken, I'm from Mexico and I have to say that I moved to the USA in year 1993 on June, previous to moving to the USA I rented the movie at a major Video Rental place in Mexico, since I saw it with my father, and I lived 5 straight years in the USA without going back to Mexico, with that said, I believe this has to be checked with the director or maybe piracy had its dues done.

"The producers could have rushed this film into production, hoping that the makers of a big budget version would not want a cheaper version of the same story to be available immediately before their expensive blockbuster." - This is pure speculation.

Bootleg Copies

[edit]

It's very common to find bootleg copies of this film. My local video store, for example, actually does have a bootleg vhs. Shouldn't there be something about the bootlegs on the page?

Stu-Stu-Studio?

[edit]

Exactly WHAT studio made the film? I think it was based in Germany, but there doesn't seem to be any information on it. 199.126.186.147 16:17, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
