Page renaming troubles

[edit]

Attempted to move "The Goat: or, Who is Sylvia?" --> "The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?", but recieved an error message claiming that this page already existed.

Attempted to move "The Goat: or, Who is Sylvia?" --> "Titlefixingtemporaryname", which succeeded, but I then discovered that the original page remained as a redirect, and that attempting to rename the page still resulted in an error.

Attempted to undo the move of "The Goat: or, Who is Sylvia?" --> "Titlefixingtemporaryname", which failed, because the original still exists.

As a short term measure, I have copied the content of "Titlefixingtemporaryname" to "The Goat: or, Who is Sylvia?", however, the edit history still needs to be merged before this article can be deleted. --James Chenery (talk) 17:51, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
