GA Review

[edit]
This review is transcluded from Talk:The Great American Bash (2004)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
Lead
  • The event's name is "The Great American Bash," so the first sentence needs to add "The" before "Great American Bash"
  • Link "event" to List of WWE pay-per-view events **optional**
  • "and champion Eddie Guerrero" --> "and champion -- Eddie Guerrero"
  • After "succession," add "(which was the only was to win the match)" **optional**
    • But it wasn't the only way to win. That was the way promoted to win, but if a wrestler took his end of the rope off his arm, he would have been DQed. I, personally, don't think that's very note worthy. –LAX 23:31, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Background
  • to make an "impact" --> to "make an impact"
  • wlink "abducting"
  • Consistency between "Undertaker" and "The Undertaker"
  • Reviewers note: Ah, remember when Cena was only competing for the United States championship? Those were the days ;)
  • "between champion John Cena" --> "between champion -- John Cena"
  • also, you say the match is for the WWE Championship, which is an error
  • wlink "counted out," "elimination match," and "standard one-on-one match"
  • add an image **optional**
Event
  • The John Cena image caption suggests that he was not champion heading out of the event. also, align that picture to the left, unless a picture is added to the background and aligned to the left there. it looks awkward to have everything on the right side of the page.
  • it should be noted that both men have their wrist tied to the same rope, with a bell in the middle
  • "on him through it" --> "onto him through it"
  • "Next was the main event" --> "The final match of the card was the main event"
  • again, consistency between "The Undertaker" and "Undertaker"
Aftermath
  • Mention that Theodore Long took over as GM
  • also note the second match that Cena won in the best of 5 series.

 All is done, I believe. –LAX 23:48, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Official Theme Song?

[edit]

Shouldn't it be noted that the official theme for the 2004 edition of The Great American bash was "Amerika" by Rammstein, or is there no "citation" to support that, because I remember vividly from watching WWE at that PPV that was definitely the theme used.216.157.195.66 (talk) 19:18, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Bearer stunt double

[edit]

One thing this article doesn't mention is that Paul Bearer was not actually inside the glass crypt for the Concrete Crypt match between The Undertaker and The Dudley Boyz. The close-ups of Paul inside the crypt were filmed 24 hours before the PPV and shown to the TV audience on the Titantron, while there was a stunt double inside the crypt that only the live audience could see.
