Subject Matter

[edit]

The following addition was subsequently removed as "vandalism"

  • The Insider primarily features stories that involve the morbidly overweight, the anorexic, victims of botched breast augmentation surgery, or people whose misery has brought them into the glare of the public spotlight. Ms. Spencer handles all of these delicate issues with aplomb. If somebody in the world is in misery, one can be assured that Spencer will be there with a microphone, getting the "Inside" scoop with her everpresent cheerfulness.

Why would this be vandalism? The Insider regularly features stories about the "World's Fattest Man", "World's fattest Women" (who died after her surgery, and The Insider was there), the woman with the "uniboob", "The Woman With 4 Boobs", "The Russian Model with the Botched Boob Job", the "Austrailian Anorexia Twins", and all sorts of anorexic and bulimic people and countless botched-breast-job stories. Additionally there have been countless reruns of "The Cat Woman" and "The Woman addicted to Plastic Surgery", both getting into the subject matter of thir botched breast augmentation jobs.

We've seen endless reporting of Anna Nicole Smith during her worst hour, even after her death, and Paris Hilton too, including speculation as to their sexual partners. Last week we saw the story of "Kelly Clarkson, the Bulimic". And a few weeks ago, The Insider ran the video of David Hasslehoff, drunk as a skunk on his kitchen floor, in front of his own daughter. If that is not misery, what is?

That is the regular and factual subject matter of The Insider. And indeed, Lara Spencer delivers all of this late breaking news with her usual cheerful disposition. Pat O'Brien ("P.O.B") does, too. During the Uniboob story Lara even said (words to the effect) "Makes me glad that I have such small breasts".

So how is the info posted VANDALISM? It is factual subject matter about the show.

Donny Osmond

[edit]

Should it be mentioned somewhere that Donny Osmond is currently co-hosting the show? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.171.167.228 (talk) 05:21, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Promoting porn industry

[edit]

It seems that the insider has put a lot of its time and afford to introduce/promote famous and young porn stars and bring them to the main stream. Is the owner of this TV series investing in the porn industry? 24.160.190.226 (talk) 05:47, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Insider Steals from Wikipedia?

[edit]

See Talk:Angelina_Jolie. If this is the case, it certainly warrants mention in this article. -- Danorton (talk) 23:03, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
