Unsourced references

[edit]

I have removed six items from the popular references section that are pure speculation. No evidence is given that they refer to or are variations upon Aesop's fable. They are therefore off-topic opinions and have no place in an encyclopaedia. 88.106.39.139 (talk) 11:57, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be a mention of Krylov's fable? I found no statements about a direct connection, but there is at least one putting them together in terms of message. Omeganian (talk) 08:26, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a 404 notice on your 'evidence'. In any case, speculation does not count as a reliable source. Sweetpool50 (talk) 09:56, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
