Arab snipers?

[edit]

I know nothing about this film other than what I read here, but it seems to me that the "snipers" mentioned in the synopsis were more likely to have been Turks than Arabs. The British were in Mesopotamia, ostensibly, at least, to free the Arabs from Turkish rule. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.119.204.197 (talk) 23:26, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious caption

[edit]

I've commented out a set of five images with the caption that one particular scene "influenced all later remakes". Each shows two soldiers beside a machine gun, hardly a unique occurrence in a war film. Clarityfiend (talk) 19:32, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Sahara" movie ?

[edit]

They tell that this movie was an inspiration for Soviet "13" movie in 1936, which in turn influenced Sahara (1943 film) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.90.120.180 (talk) 08:19, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
