Ohatsu[edit]

It is incorrect to call Ohatsu a 'prostitute', she may have been a courtesan but we are unable to tell whether she was a so-called 'hot-springs geisha'. The word 'prostitution' carries too many connotations in English to be able to be transferred onto the Japanese system where courtesans were expected to be trained in the four accomplishments. 87.194.83.65 00:34, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

English spelling system[edit]

The heading is "Sonezaki" (no "h"), but later in the text it says "..by an unusual tree in the Shonezaki shrine which has both a pine...". Can we have consistency within the article please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.213.146.102 (talk) 08:09, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
