The film was shot in Spain

[edit]

I doubt very much. I believe it was shot in Poland , in http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jura_Krakowsko-Cz%C4%99stochowska. Xx236 13:40, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Character corrections

[edit]

The two men hanging from the gallows are the brothers of an escaped bandit named named Zoto, not "the Zoto brothers" (while implies that their last name is Zoto) BethEnd 17:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Textual history

[edit]

I believe what's here is accurate (a date change gave me pause, but I think it is correct). If someone wants to take the time, it could probably be cited (and expanded) from the introduction to the Penguin addition. - Jmabel | Talk 22:00, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The first paragraph of this section mysteriously claims the book was not completed, referring to the author's 1815 suicide as if it prevented completion. There is no reference given for this assertion. I will wait a few weeks and then cut the OR because the last paragraph of this section states that the 1810 version was complete, based on research leading to the 2006 publication. Zibelda vs. Zubeida

[edit]

The article incorrectly attributes the name `Zibelda' to Emina's sister. This is her name in the movie, but not in the novel, where her name is `Zubeida'. Since this article is about the book, not the film, I'm making the necessary change. My source is the novel itself. --N-k (talk) 20:59, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
