GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the Background section, this sentence ---> "The Masked Avengers, a Canadian radio duo from Montreal, Quebec, had become well-known for making prank calls to celebrities", remove "well-known", since its a peacock term, per here.

    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
Dates need to be unlinked, per here. In the Reaction section, italicize "SNL".

    Check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:48, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
References 1 and 20 are dead and the link title in Reference 9 shouldn't be in capital letters, per here. Also, the last link in the External links section, the transcript of the prank call, is dead as well.
    There is no reference 20, but I fixed everything else. --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 21:44, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
If the statements above can be answered, I will pass the article. Good luck with improving this article!

Quick comment. In the conversation section, should "laughes" be spelled "laughs"? –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:51, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it might be the sources who have it listed like that. Is it? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:48, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think either way is fine. --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 21:36, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unless it's British spelling or something else I'm not aware of, "laughes" shows up as a typo on Firefox spell checker. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:44, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. But, if the sources have it as "laughes" then it would be best to add the {{sic}} template next to the word. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:04, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The sources actually use "giggle" rather than "laughes". –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 20:32, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. If that's stated, then add that, cause I know that may be misquoting the transcripts. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:37, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Changed transcript to match source. --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 12:15, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
