Poster Image[edit]

Hello - I work at Warner Bros. and we would like to request an update to the Poster Image due to some credit updates. Could you let me know how I can update the image?

Thank you!

  • The image needs to first be uploaded to Wikipedia before it can be added to the article. You may use the File upload wizard to accomplish this. Once this image has been approved and placed in the article through another COI edit request, it can then be requested that the older image be deleted if it's no longer being used. Plot[edit]

Anyone going to finish the movie's plot? Just curious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.133.233.124 (talk) 19:05, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Someone kept on deleting the last paragraph as a spoiler. I have put them right. Smyth (talk) 22:12, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Korea veteran?[edit]

I watched the film yesterday, and don't actually remember what was said of this detail, however, according to WP Leo Sharp was a WWII-veteran, so if someone could double-check. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:38, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also, don't remember what was stated in the film, but Sharp was 87 when arrested, so "90-year-old" may be wrong. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:43, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't remember the war or age, but remember this, guys--Eastwood is not playing Leo Sharp. He is playing a fictional character, Earl Stone, only somewhat based on Sharp. So they may have changed the details such as military service and age. Sir Rhosis (talk) 13:00, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Correct. I edited the article based on sources I found. I also think Clint mocked one of the Mexicans by comparing him to Hitler. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:50, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If there is doubt, we can always go "war veteran". Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:55, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Update: until someone finds a better source, I'm going with this one: In the film, Stone is a veteran of Korea instead of World War II. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:21, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just watched the film on Blu-ray. Stone's old truck has a Korean War Veteran license plate holder. Sir Rhosis (talk) 01:27, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like something I may have missed. Thanks! Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:29, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tata or TaTa?[edit]

I notice that, within the Section dealing with Plot, that the word for Grandfather is variously described as Tata or TaTa. I know that this is arguably a small point, but does anyone know what is correct? Research17 (talk) 09:47, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Research17, per [1] I say go with Tata. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:07, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This film is primarily a love story[edit]

The meaningful content of this film is the love story between Earl and Mary -- not all the noir nonsense. The climax of the film is their last meeting, at Mary's deathbed, when it becomes clear that they never stopped loving each other. Mksword (talk) 07:26, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leo Sharp[edit]

It's stated that Leo Sharp became a drug courier for the catel in 80s, but it's false.

He was an old man when he began couriership and also and old man when he was arrested. Aminabzz (talk) 21:12, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It says in his 80s. Are you saying that's wrong? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:31, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
