Spinning Stargate[edit]

In the "notes" section, is says it's most likely a mistake. However, I figured the Stargate's inner track spinning was another sign that this mini-network of gates was altered. Remember, it's cut off from the rest of the network. I figure the inner track spins to coincide with the alterations. TheInnkeeper

Ba'al[edit]

Wasn't Ba'al in the trap for only three days, not eight? --Dymero 19:39, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it was three days. 4.159.113.12 01:33, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What I think is weird is the fact that Ba'al actually got (and admitted) that he was hungry in that force field. I didn't know that Goa'ulds got hungry!

Part 1: Dragon Skepticism[edit]

Wasn't it Carter who was repeatedly skeptical that it was a dragon? Jackson is said in this article to be the skeptic, but I distinctly remember the blonde rolling her eyes at the word "dragon" at least two or three times during Part 1. 24.251.211.127 06:37, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I remember all of SG-1 being skeptical, except Mitchell, really. The reason I'd vote Jackson to be most noticeable is because when the dragon flies up, he says something along the lines of "Okay, maybe there is a dragon." --Zenchi 05:10, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Part 2[edit]

I know this isn't much Wikipedia related, but has anybody an idea when part 2 will be shown? Cristan 12:48, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Repository[edit]

Based on the current information known, I'm no longer sure that the thing near Daniel's head is an Ancients repository of knowledge. I think it's the device that transfers Merlin's conciousness into his mind. -- SFH 18:51, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel says it's a repository, but instead of holding all the knowledge of the anchients merlin transfers just his own memories into it. Merlin's conciousness was never transfered, just his memories. PR Baram 02:11, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, memories, not conciousness. Idjit 02:30, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Part 2[edit]

Where did this come from? "Due to the Daniel's raise in tone, he unknowing awakens Merlin from his slumber." There was nothing in the show to prove why it released him from Stasis, it could have been their pressence there, Vala activating the repository, etc. PR Baram 02:11, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Merlin begins to weaken with stress of building the device, and insists he rests. Daniel reminds him at what is at stake, Merlin telling Daniel that "‘‘it’s up to him (Daniel) to finish his work". Merlin continues but blinded from the light form the device and then dies. "--- Is not correct. Daniel doesn't force him or push him back, Daniel says "Take all the time you need." Merlin says "Good luck, Dr. Jackson." transfers his mind into the machine.

...Morgan Le Fay's protection of Merlin, so when someone dials in, the DHD quickly dials out and teleports everyone to another locale, - is also incorrect. Sam clearly says it is an automatic loop every few hours. PR Baram 02:11, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remembered what i could from the episode, since i only had one viewing and could not remember everything --WarDragon 08:15, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't mean to insult you, my apologies if I did. You did a great job, I was just marking the reasons for the changes(I saved a copy of the episode to my computer so I was able to rewatch it to verify details). 221.147.22.25 09:54, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nah you didn't insult me =P, so don't worry about it and anyway since I didn't have a copy of the episode at hand, i was bound to make mistakes, so i am actually glad you made the changes and made sure they were factually right.

Kudos WarDragon! I read the article from work last night, I was really impressed. I've watched the episode a couple times already, I think you nailed it. I have another good quote I'll add later today. Idjit 13:11, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've put in a fairly substantial rewrite for clarity, verb tenses, and grammar. Some of the timing might be off, so feel free to edit as you see fit. 171.159.64.10 22:23, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merlin[edit]

Does anyone else think that it is possible that Merlin ascended after transfering his memories to the repository?? Idjit 05:02, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • That is a bit of a stretch...but we have seen stranger things. -- SFH 05:17, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's true but i believe that its the other way round, the ancients stopped Merlin and he knew it, as they can stop him but they can't stop Daniel, just my 2 cents --WarDragon 17:31, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

US airdate[edit]

For the originally aired section of the infobox, why do we really need the US airdate? It was originally aired in the UK in January. For the previous episodes, it doesn't give the US date followed by the UK date. Sci Fi Channel and Sky One are just broadcasters; what makes the US airdate so special?--Codenamecuckoo 08:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The original airdate should only contain the UK airdate, we broadcast it first *we* are the original airdate, there cannot be two original airdates. Due to these facts I will remove it. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 09:21, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This was discussed last year as well when SG Atlantis aired first in Canada. Only one airdate but possibly adding the country. --Tone 10:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tau'ri symbol[edit]

Did anyone notice that one of the symbols on the snow world was Earth's point of origin symbol? -- SFH 03:05, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adria's powers[edit]

Does nobody else find it strange how adria had no ori powers on the planet, and yet was able to search the DHD for the next gate address within a short amount of time?

should it be added to the trivia section? --SleweD 18:57, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think it was just inside the mountain that Adria was unable to use here powers. -- SFH 21:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spinning Stargate (again) and Tau'ri Symbol (again)[edit]

I believe the spinning sound is heard on a number of occasions (possibly in Demons at the end), and the Tau'ri symbol is also seen on an offworld gate at the beginning of New Ground.

Jacobpauldyer 22:33, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

However, we heard the gate activate normally when they traveled from the ice planet to the jungle planet. — BrotherFlounder 01:34, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
