Notability
[edit]This article doesn't establish notability, or really contain much of anything. I researched the band a bit and with self-released albums and no press links on their website, I dunno... Editors, establish notability in the article or article will be dumped and burned in hell. 216.138.112.154 (talk) 22:26, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
The band was recently featured in the NZ national exam for level 2 NCEA english, so perhaps that is a relevant note about notability to those more qualified to judge? 122.58.88.53 (talk) 04:35, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Another band called The Rabble
[edit]There is another band called The Rabble, a well-known underground act in Canada in the 1966-1972 era, and their two albums were recently re-released as CDs by the Disques Merite record label in Montreal. The members of that band are still active, and they are in the process of developing a re-union album. No one is likely to confuse the two bands, because of differences in age and location, and conflict is unlikely. Perhaps the solution would be another wikepedia entry on this other band, The Rabble, with mutual links and a clarification. More details to follow.Rudderman (talk) 19:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Rudderman
- You can create an article such as The Rabble (Canadian band), and add a WP:Hatnote to this article linking to it.
- At a later state, if you believe this band is non-notable, you can nominate it for deletion. If that succeeds, that would free up this title for the Canadian band article to be moved here. You could also argue that neither band has a predominant claim to the title, and this article should be moved to a title such as "The Rabble (New Zealand band)" and this article converted to a disambiguation page. In any event, you should create the other article first.-gadfium 21:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
