Years active[edit]

Considering that none of the songs mentioned for their first performance existed before 1957 then the year of The Rattlesnakes formation comes into question. "Oh, Boy!", for instance, wasn't released in the UK until 22 December 1957 so the group's existance would in reality have been at best 5-6 months before the Gibb family departed England for Australia and not from 1955 as this article suggests.Ferdinandhudson (talk) 09:45, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As per the referenced link at http://www.manchester.ac.uk/medialibrary/foi/disclosures/extrel/beegees_2.pdf it clearly states that The Rattlesnakes only lasted six months. Since the Gibb brothers performed as Wee Johnny Hayes and the Blue Cats in May 1958 without Horrocks and Frost we have a time frame for this. The title for this article should be corrected or at least have the year removed. Ferdinandhudson (talk) 09:45, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wee Johnny Hayes and the Blue Cats[edit]

The Rattlesnakes and Wee Johnny Hayes and the Blue Cats were different groups. The latter evolved into the Bee Gees. G. Picanço (talk) 20:02, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
