[edit]

I run a website where we write synopses and spoilers for movies, and I'd really like to link to our Rules of Attraction synopsis. I'm not trying to spam; I'm only making this request for about 8 movies in total - ones where Wikipedia doesn't have much plot info and we have a detailed synopsis. I think this would be useful and informative to anyone looking for a bit more detail on what happens in the movie. And this wouldn't break any Wikipedia rules concerning external links...but posting the link myself WOULD break the rules. I can only ask that folks here take a look and if anyone thinks it would be useful to others, to please post the link. Here's the synopsis: http://www.moviecheat.com/ShowDetails.php?mid=70 Rasi2290

Carrot Top DVD Commentary?

[edit]

Anyone think the Carrot Top commentary should be placed in the Trivia section? From Audio Commentary (DVD):

Carrottop commentary features someone not associated or knowledgeable about the film in any way, shape, or form. They are very rare and so-called because of the commentary track by comedian Carrot Top on Roger Avary's The Rules of Attraction.

I would go further than that. What about a full on "Carrot Top Commentary" article?

Connections to Bennington College

[edit]

When I was at Bennington, we all sat around making comparisons to this movie and Bennington. Any bother in putting it in the article, or is that considered non-encyclopaedic despite the fact that Ellis went to Bennington? --Allie 05:08, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Info removed

[edit]

I removed the info about suicide mainly because it made little sense; also it was iffy information about real people, Wikipedia demands said such info to be removed. Better safe then sorry.

Plot section should be expanded. Heavily.

[edit]

I think it's unfair that the plot section for this film is so minimal when almost every single other film has it's entire events in the description. It's a shame. Someone please expand.GingerStokes (talk) 03:42, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

At least a Plot Summary Please
I came here looking for a plot summary, but there's not even that. This article has great layout and info compared to those of many other films. I just wish it had a short, not too detailed summary of the plot. It could also have a more detailed plot section after the summary for people who are looking for more than an overview.--Neptunerover (talk) 02:02, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definitions or explanations needed

pulldown matchback and Film4 are used without explanation or link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.138.191.93 (talk) 14:10, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Germany

[edit]

Why is it a German film?--Droben (talk) 22:14, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The involvement of a German production company makes it a German film for the purposes that this encyclopedia designates. -- 109.79.66.165 (talk) 18:58, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

purple letter

[edit]

what does "purple letter" mean? a quick web search turns up nothing, yet the article seems to assume it's common knowledge. thanks, Doceddi (talk) 21:15, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

the love letters in the film happen to be written on purple paper. that's it, no deeper meaning. -- 109.79.66.165 (talk) 18:58, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Differences from the book

[edit]

This article previously includes a long list of "differences from the book"[1] which were removed as trivia, which was fair. If reliable sources can be found though then some of this could perhaps be included in the Production section as information about the adaptation and writing of the film. -- 109.79.66.165 (talk) 18:58, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
