Author?[edit]
On my recording by the complete Furey Family (Intercord, Germany) which I just added to the recordings in the article, they name a person called Archie Fisher as author. The lyrics, published on the cover, are also a bit different from the ones in the article. --Ronald M. F. (talk) 19:00, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, that information is incorrect. Archie Fisher may have sung the song, but he didn't write it - it was written over a hundred years before he was born. Hohenloh + 04:55, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the answer, I found out by myself by reading the references and by searching the web a little later! Until now, it seems that Archie Fisher first recorded it, and the Fureys thought that he is the author. --Ronald M. F. (talk) 15:04, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
