this article is very good as i was lucky enough to work closely with The Twilights(and John E Broome & the Handels)at the .Youth Centre in Salisbury South Australia. One record not mentioned was "Witchery" whitch was commissioned by the clothing store chain of the same name.Withchery's management didn't like the recording, and it was released by The Twilights as a single, which did quite well. Also nothing wa ssaid about the influence of the Tarney brothers on early Twilights.

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:00, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article is 90% copypaste[edit]

This article needs a major rewrite. Most of the content is copypasted from this page. While not a copyvio (see copyright notice on the main page) it cannot just stay like this. I've rewritten the lead, but I'm honestly not really up to the task of redoing the entire biography. ToQ100gou (talk) 09:10, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ToQ100gou: I've had a chop at this and its down to ≈60%. I've added numerous other references providing in-line citations and toned down the fan-style embellishments. Hopefully it works better for average wp readers. Aficionados of the group can go to Kimball's source (even archived) if they wish more details.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 22:23, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fantastic job, it looks and reads a lot better and is better sourced. I notice quite a few Aussie/NZ music articles, usually those from bands who aren't well-known outside the region, are sort of undersourced and hagiographic in nature, mostly because a lot of them have been ripped from Kimball's pages, although with the occasional sources from the Ian MacFarlane encyclopedia, and nobody's really done anything to improve them since. In fact I have a rewrite draft for the Split Enz page in workspace because it had a lot of the same problems, until someone else stepped in and chopped it down much like you did here.
