Figther's names

[edit]

I've been struggling to figure out what to do about the fighter's names for this season. It seems that the broadcast and the tuf.tv website seem to heavily use nicknames for the fighters. In comparison the initial release of fighter's names used their full names. I almost feel as if someone who watched the episode and comes here to read about it (or vice versa) might be confused by the differences in names. Anyone have suggestions or thoughts? Should we refer to the fighters in the article using the nicknames or versions that is used on the broadcast? --TreyGeek (talk) 03:56, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, to prevent confusion I think it would be a good idea to include nicknames, they seem to be using the nicknames on TUF Brazil to refer to the fighters more than using the full names, most likely because Brazilians have very long full names sometimes. Maybe we should treat all the fighters on TUF: Brazil like Kimbo Slice on The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights? In the fighter list, use their full name and nickname. Then in the rest of the article, us the name that they are referred to on the show (ie Godofredo Pepey). --TreyGeek (talk) 14:25, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've adjusted the names in the article similarly to how Kimbo was treated for TUF Heavyweights. --TreyGeek (talk) 00:11, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
