I attend a Catholic Parish in New Hampshire and noticed one day that the Priest of the parish was titled as Very Reverend. I was curious as to the qualifications to be Very Reverend vs. Reverend. I found the information found here to be very interesting and learned that a Very Reverend Priest in the catholic church is one who is a senior priest of the parish or holds certain offices that have been bestowed upon him by the Bishop.
