Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Rustyeverywhere (talk) 23:10, 31 May 2012 (UTC) They have two albums and have played regularly on Nashville's talk show Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17. They have had articles done on them by The Huffington Post. They have performed in many popular rock festivals. I'm not finished with the page, yet. Please don't delete. Thanks.[reply]

I'll give it a few hours max (otherwise we can send it to userspace until you are ready to give it the time needed to bring it up to a non-speedy-able state). A ref to the HuffPo article would go a long way towards proving this group merits an article. DMacks (talk) 05:31, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
They have also been noted as important by modern underground music sources, such as Noisetrade and Under the Radar... Sir Ian (talk) 20:38, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
UTR hasn't noted them as important, just as good. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:48, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I intend to remove the Notability/Deletion template on the following grounds:

  • The group recently has been receiving national airplay on services such as Minnesota Public Radio's Heartland Radio and Folk Alley.
  • Their latest album Sisters and Brothers debuted on the Americana Music Association chart this past week.
  • They have been cited in numerous national and regional publications over the course of their career.

I will notify the proponents of deletion through their Talk pages and will give them two weeks (until March 1) to respond. Thank you. Allreet (talk) 17:10, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the media mentions listed in the article are not themselves strong support (and some that do sound the strongest are not cited, so they must be removed). And the Americana Music Association does not sound like a major national chart. But the HuffPo review looks like a good WP:NMUSIC notability support. First, it's not a deletion notice, it was a notability tag.
I agree that the references are not particularly strong, but the reviews certainly are. I removed the notability tag. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:27, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
