Fair use rationale for Image:Sjff 01 img0427.jpg[edit]

Image:Sjff 01 img0427.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

running time[edit]

imdb notes the following: Runtime: 131 min | France: 156 min | 148 min (director's cut) | West Germany: 150 min

(should not some of those other ones be mentioned?) -- Twipley (talk) 11:13, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IMPORTANT INNACURACIES IN THE MAIN TEXT[edit]

1- The action takes place in Venezuela, not Mexico. (see ENCYCLOPEDIA.COM) and many original references from the movie in French (among others: ALLOCINE.FR

The geography, oil wells and many other factors simply do not add up for southern Mexico. This false datum comes from false American press releases seeking to be politically correct. The SOUTHERN OIL COMPANY (SOC) is also very obviously the CREOLE PETROLEUM CORPORATION who was number 1 or 2 top Petrol company in the world at the time.

2- The reason for Mario's accident and death is not speeding, but the brakes failing while going down hill. He desperately tries to shift down gear to slow down, but the gearbox breaks and helplessly accelerating, the truck falls off the road.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.250.98.220 (talk) 07:43, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Information and Citation[edit]

This article is incomplete and is missing important information on the film's production, theatrical and home media release and legacy which needs to be added to the article. These are very important pieces of information that needs to be added to the article in their own separate sections. There are several pieces of information in the article that are unsourced and need to be given proper citations. The reception section can also be expanded with more reviews from notable critics as well as some information citing the film as one of the greatest films of all time. All of these additions and changes need to occur in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:09, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

American oil company which owns the nearby oilfields ?[edit]

Nearby - ? - The men where hired as drivers for trucks to fulfil a deadly-risky haul of nitroglycerine load to the oilfields, at fire, which are, like is said, some 500 miles or so away from SOC HQ in this desolate town ? --2001:A61:2B66:7E01:210C:CDC2:EF4B:7F8A (talk) 20:22, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Little House on the Prairie episode is also a remake[edit]

The Little House on the Prairie episode The Long Road Home (1977) is also a remake. Charles and Isaiah hire on with the railroad to haul a wagon-load of highly explosive nitroglycerin over a treacherous mountain road. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.174.163.148 (talk) 18:22, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
