Pageless reference
[edit]Anyone help me out with the page number or chapter heading for Henry Holloway (new entry)? It came from an online edition without page numbers. Thanks. --217.155.32.221 (talk) 16:29, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Found the chapter so calling that a fix.--217.155.32.221 (talk) 21:04, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
The Emperor of Russia
[edit]There's a curious throwaway reference to Bold having had to curtail his remarks in London because of a succeeding meeting - the room was hired for two hours only, at the expiration of which the Quakers and Mr Cobden were to make use of it for an appeal to the public in aid of the Emperor of Russia . This refers to the Quaker Deputation to Russia, January-February 1854. The deputation, led by Joseph Sturge was an attempt to prevent the outbreak of the Crimean War. The London meeting would have taken place in late 1853. Thomas Peardew (talk) 12:20, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
