Names

[edit]

I struggled with how to use names in this article. Because it talks about whole families, particularly the Alcotts and the Hawthornes, it does not make sense, for example, to refer to Bronson Alcott as "Alcott" (they were all "Alcott"). The article as it stands instead uses first names. This may seem informal, but I'm not sure if it's better or worse than saying, for example, "Hawthorne" and "Sophia" or even "Hawthorne" and "Mrs. Hawthorne", etc. Thoughts are welcome. --Midnightdreary (talk) 14:32, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
