Weapon details

[edit]

A laser-guided bomb from a navy Grumman A-6 Intruder. I think this is a good RS, although it seems bloggish. It has lots of sources at the bottom, and the author, Joe Baugher has a PhD. I have also emailed the navy to get more details and possibly a better copy of the video.--Canoe1967 (talk) 12:11, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dentist in a Passat?

[edit]

This poster claims a dentist in a 1988 Passat.

2000lb

[edit]

This site says the largest (2000lb) bombs were used on bridges. Not a very RS though?

That would make it a GBU-10 Paveway II, if the A6-E above was used to drop it. I may email the manufacturers and see if they have any more info and possibly a copy of the video.--Canoe1967 (talk) 17:51, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

There should be better ones, but this one shows the attack points of the A-6. This may narrow it down to a google earth search to try and match the bridge. I still hope the navy will help us out.--Canoe1967 (talk) 00:11, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
