Could this page include a mention of the Henderson Hospital, Sutton, Surrey, UK? 87.80.142.49 (talk) 17:27, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why? WhatamIdoing (talk) 04:49, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree - a description of the Hederson would be appropriate, with some supporting citations from Kingsley Norton etc. The reason: Henderson is a therapeutic community with a good emprical reserch base for clinical outcomes --

First coined?

[edit]

I think the term Therapeutic Community might have been coined by Tom Main in his 1946 paper "The Hospital as a therapeutic insitution" in the Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic 1946 (reprinted in "The Ailment and other Psychoanalytic Essays", Free Association Books 1989, p.8) with reference to the Northfield Experiment. Any other evidence of who coined it? --Anonymaus (talk) 03:02, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a directory of organizations. WhatamIdoing (talk) 00:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the link to what wikipedia is not. I posted the comment on the talk page to stimulate interest in expanding the article. The article is start-class and needs work; I don't have the time to do it. The top three organizations are relevant to the article but must have a reason to be included.
