Why were the great powers opposed to unification?[edit]
As an uninformed reader, one point that seems quite central to the article is not made clear: why did the Great Powers have an interest (apparently a significant one, to merit military involvement) in preventing unification with Greece? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LittleWalrus (talk • contribs) 03:21, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
